Flagyl 1-250mg Tablets contain a combination of the active ingredients metronidazole and an anti-bacterial agent, metronidazole 500mg. Metronidazole is used to treat a wide variety of infections caused by bacteria.
Flagyl 1-250mg Tablets are used to treat bacterial infections in the body (pneumonia, bronchitis, sinusitis, tonsillitis, infections with susceptible organisms in the respiratory tract, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections), usually within 24 hours.
Bacterial infections should usually be treated with antibiotics within 48 hours.
While Flagyl 1-250mg Tablets are generally welltolerated, some patients may experience side effects. Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, headache, and loss of appetite. Less common side effects may include photosensitivity (increased sensitivity to sunlight), rash, photosensitivity (increased sensitivity to sunburn), and a slight increased risk of blood clots.
